Western Digital Hdd Externo My Passport Usb 3.0 4tb
Puntos positivos y negativos

The disc recognised my Mac immediately and connected. I had no trouble dragging files onto the disc.

Working fine one day then not at all the next. Without warning the drive could not be recognised by my MacBook Air. Only 3 years old and never dropped. Put it aside for a few years before biting the bullet and paid $1200 for data retrieval. Problem was diagnosed as "Logical Corruption".

I recently purchased the 2TB "WD My Passport for Mac" external HDD from the Noel Leeming store in Porirua. I wanted it to run Time Machine on my M1 Mac mini. The salesperson was "Jose L" and was extremely helpful. This HD is already formatted in “APFS (Case sensitive)” mode. I connected via the USB-C port and set up in Settings > General > Time Machine. It was very easy and started copying the files pretty much immediately and very fast. I have mounted the HDD near my Mac and secured on a wooden block with drawer handles acting like a security cage. Please see photos. I am very happy with my purchase.
