The touch functionality of BE24ECSBT works well under Ubuntu Linux. The touch gestures and movements work and feel like Android (which makes sense as Android is Linux, so might be the same or similar source code). Monitor performance is decent. I was able to go into the menu system and get a reasonable color temp match to my Asus ProArt monitors. Like all modern monitors with internal speakers, they leave a lot to be desired. If you want to use the monitors to watch videos you will want an external speaker.

I am not sure if it's my delivery driver or what, but the box always arrives as if it suffered a big fall or a puncture. The last 4 Asus monitors I've bought from Amazon have all had 2 or more dead pixels. It's quite annoying. However, for the price I guess I can't complain too much. The Asus monitors seem decent overall. This particular model I bought, has 4 buttons instead of the single button like the previous version. The single button (to navigate the monitor settings menu) was superior. This 4 button monitor feels harder to setup for some reason. The bevels are alright, but the bottom bezel with the Asus logo is too large imo. The back is flat and sturdier, for mounting using the typical square brackets. Came with a HDMI cord, not sure what specifications. Had regular power cord (without the power block like the previous version) which I like. I didn't use stand.

I was able to snag a returned one for $62 which is a great deal, I was lucky to receive the item basically untouched and unused. The picture quality is great and exactly what you would expect from a 1080p monitor. I use this as my 3rd monitor to display any side programs aside from my main 240hz Alienware monitor.

Asus is a great brand and these low bezel monitors are perfect for a multimonitor build out. Lightweight, but robust.
