A huge, good-looking 4K panel for sensible money – but it's useless for lunchtime gaming

I bought 2 of these on a good sale and both of them had defective stands that wouldn't lower from the highest vertical position. Otherwise, the monitors would have been a good deal for the price. Dell support wanted me to return them to the store rather than just replace the broken half of each stand, so back to the store they went, and I opted for different monitors.

The Dell S3225QS is great for office use. The 32-inch screen is big enough to view a few windows at once, and text looks sharp thanks to its 4k resolution. It also gets bright enough to fight some glare in a well-lit office space, but reflections are distracting in a sunny environment. Unfortunately, it's a bad choice for sharing your screen with others because it has narrow viewing angles, and it doesn't swivel at all. It's limited in extra features, too, as it doesn't even have a USB hub.

I held on too long to my 2017 iMac with its great 27" Retina display and 32-bit capable Mojave MacOS. I chose to upgrade to an M4 Mac mini with a 32" Dell display. I love the larger display, and when I log in remotely to my 2017 iMac, I get full screen size and excellent resolution. I was pleasantly surprised. Everything on the Dell monitor has worked as advertised. I appreciate the good advice I got at Micro Center.

Great monitor for the price. 4K, 120MHz, great colors, easy setup. What else do you need? Go ge one/
