Qnap Nas Tr-002 External Raid Enclosure

These 6TBdrives made my life so much better than the 4TB ones they replaced

The device is working fine. No problems so far, does the job

Have not had it long, but so far, so good. I've heard people say that it can get noisy, I noticed that last night for the first time after about 3 weeks of use.

Wouldn't recommend for home use due to noise. Can't fault the cost for the capacity and it is sold as an SME drive hence still 4 stars. Bought this to upgrade my home NAS setup (unraid). Fortunately I just got the one to start with. Its fast enough on sequential writes - but its quite noisy. The whine from the rotation is audible in a quiet room, and the head movements are very noisy - they can be heard some way from the device. In addition, the heads move every 5 seconds even when the drive is idle by design. I've changed my config by adding the Samsung 8Tb SSD, and now only use this for a weekly rsync backup.

It's a disk, I've already got 2 of those, and they last. Fast delivery, reasonable price.
