Asus Router Rt-ax89x Dual Band

Router was fairly easy to setup and is working as expected. I was hoping that it would improve my home WI-FI speed and coverage as I was upgrading to the new Wi-Fi 6 standard, however, that has not been the case so far. Speed and coverage appears to be similar to what I had before. Please also note that the AIProtection feature with the router that uses Trend Micro services requires that you share data with Trend Micro, including web browsing history and other data. That is disappointing from a privacy point of view.

Fast shipping, unbeatable price and item arrive in perfect shape and it's not a refurbish.

What can I say? This is so much better than my previous Netgear router. The range is outstanding. The options are endless and parental controls are enough to keep any parent happy that they kids are not watching content they shouldn't (without supervising them). I have no need for any extenders in the house anymore. The information is clear and easy to figure out what is happening and how to do things. The parental controls come with a caveat that your data might be used by someone else but it is the price to pay to stop kids looking at improper content. I cannot recommend this enough.

Great router. It covers our long house, which is the main reason I have bought it. But functions are great too. I often use device schedule to limit my child’s time. It is not always disable internet in time though. Also traffic priority is useful as well.

Super fast and great signal, but it does randomly go down, loses time sync and needs a reboot. Also lost all config suddenly one night and had to be reconfigured.
