The Garmin GPSMAP 65s has a powerful mapping package that delivers speed, accuracy with a decent battery life in one easy-to-use package. There's no sat comms, but otherwise a professional tool.

I purchased this gps due to its wealth of features and rugged durability, Has maps, multi GNSS, and was offered at a price I could not refuse.

I bought this for hiking trails so the topo maps are good. Also wanted some lake maps for my fishing. Although lake vu on this device doesn't support all the lake vu features, it is good enough to get me where I want to go. Already had a striker (no map) but this combo does the job and I didn't have to buy a whole new system (echomap). So I'm happy.
