Like @Mike Willis I had two of these switches fail on me. They do not handle power surges and outages well, either, as they trashed one of my POE devices. I switched to Zyxel 8-Port Gigabit Switch, (GS1900-10HP). Much better performance so far.

Product didn't last a year. Called into TP-Link let them know that were no longer receiving power to the unit. The Chinese rep that I could barely understand asked to try another outlet. Really? BTW, I called the "business" support line to get an RMA. You think I wouldn't try another outlet, before calling support? Then the hell of understanding her email address to send her a picture of the unit plugged in and not powering on. WHY? If you don't want to deal with this stuff, I would recommend going with a Netgear instead.

Fiber ports are very picky and I wound up just not using the sfp ports.

These are great little switches, I have a couple of them around powering AP's & IP CCTV cameras, they work well, don't lock up, VLAN support is good etc..

Works really well. I used both SFP ports in a LAG Group to give me a 2gig uplink to my core switch, just to save the 8 RJ45 ports for PoE items. My only gripe is that it's kinda loud, the fan. I have this in my home network closet and I can hear it as I am walking towards the open door about 30 feet away.
