This head with quick plate is probably one of the most versatile, put-it-anywhere, heads I own. When coupled with the Manfrotto 035RL Super Clamp with Standard Stud (you remove the stud) it becomes a go anywhere, mount your camera anywhere set up. I use it mostly with speed rail but you can mount it anywhere with pipes or thick enough rails.

My small timing company - Big Kahuna Timing - uses this product in a variety of applications. We work Track & Field events - road races - & cross country events. This product provides flexibility and a variety of set-up options for our camcorders and Finish Lynx cameras.
